FlexCoat System

Church in Charleston, SCFlexCoat is a “crackbridging” Elastomeric coating designed for waterproofing exterior walls. It is formulated with the highest quality resins and raw materials available to form a tough yet flexible mildew-resistant coating for masonry substrates.

Application Specifics:

Surface Preparation:

Remove any loose or flaking particles, lubricants, dirt, mold or mildew. All existing surfaces should be power washed.

Priming:

If any surfaces exhibit chalking after they have been properly power washed, they must be primed with one coat of SureBond primer. Dry time/Approximately 4 hours.

Application:
  • Apply at a rate of 180 square feet per gallon per coat.
  • Allow 8 hours between coats in temperatures of 70 degrees and above. (At lower temperatures, more drying time may be needed.)
  • Two coats of FlexCoat must be applied at a total coverage rate of 90 square feet per gallon to qualify for a 5-warranty.
  • Three coats must be applied at a total coverage rate of 60 square feet per gallon to qualify for 10-year material warranty.

Clean Up:
Protect adjacent surfaces not receiving waterproofing. FlexCoat is easily cleaned with water when still wet. Dried material can be removed with a water soluble solvent.
Environmental Requirements:

Do not apply if ambient temperatures are expected to fall below 40 degrees, or if rain is expected before the application has time to cure.
